Inspection
Japan Recondition Cars follows Japan’s rigorous vehicle inspection standards to ensure the quality and safety of reconditioned vehicles before export. Here's a breakdown of how inspection works:
Japan Recondition Cars Inspection Process
1. Auction Sheet & Pre-Auction Inspection
Every vehicle listed in Japanese auctions comes with an auction sheet, which includes:
Exterior/interior condition
Mileage verification
Accident history
Mechanical issues
These sheets are prepared by certified inspectors and are crucial for buyers to assess vehicle quality.
2. Shaken (Vehicle Inspection System)
Under Japan’s Road Transport Vehicle Act, vehicles must undergo Shaken, a mandatory inspection that checks:
Roadworthiness
Emissions compliance
Safety systems (brakes, steering, lights)
Environmental standards
3. Pre-Shipment Inspection
Before export, vehicles may undergo additional checks by third-party agencies like QISJ (Quality Inspection Services Japan):
Mechanical and environmental inspection
Electrical system check
Radiation and stolen vehicle screening
4. Inspection for Importing Countries
Some countries (e.g. Bangladesh, Kenya, Jamaica) require government-accredited inspections before import.
Japan Recondition Cars may coordinate with agencies like Autoterminal Japan for certified inspections.
