Inspection

Japan Recondition Cars follows Japan’s rigorous vehicle inspection standards to ensure the quality and safety of reconditioned vehicles before export. Here's a breakdown of how inspection works:

Japan Recondition Cars Inspection Process

1. Auction Sheet & Pre-Auction Inspection

  • Every vehicle listed in Japanese auctions comes with an auction sheet, which includes:

    • Exterior/interior condition

    • Mileage verification

    • Accident history

    • Mechanical issues

  • These sheets are prepared by certified inspectors and are crucial for buyers to assess vehicle quality.

2. Shaken (Vehicle Inspection System)

  • Under Japan’s Road Transport Vehicle Act, vehicles must undergo Shaken, a mandatory inspection that checks:

  • Roadworthiness

  • Emissions compliance

  • Safety systems (brakes, steering, lights)

  • Environmental standards

3. Pre-Shipment Inspection

  • Before export, vehicles may undergo additional checks by third-party agencies like QISJ (Quality Inspection Services Japan):

  • Mechanical and environmental inspection

  • Electrical system check

  • Radiation and stolen vehicle screening

4. Inspection for Importing Countries

  • Some countries (e.g. Bangladesh, Kenya, Jamaica) require government-accredited inspections before import.

  • Japan Recondition Cars may coordinate with agencies like Autoterminal Japan for certified inspections.
